    Auto Insurance

One has to be ever vigilant and well prepared for an auto accident, and the untold trauma suffered during an incident. The best way in which a person involved in a car accident can recover the huge financial and emotional damages caused is to purchase auto insurance coverage. Jones Group Insurance Services gives you the option of choosing an array of different auto insurance coverage packages. Our agents can conduct proper research regarding the available options, finding the best product for your wallet and needs.
    • Full Coverage Auto Insurance - The package offers maximum protection. Such an insurance coverage will offer protection even if the accident takes place due to an error on the part of the policyholder. A policy that offers maximum protection will also cover incidents like car theft, vehicle crime, hit-and-run accidents and also any other kind of damage caused to the car due to any accident.
    • Collision Coverage - This insurance package will take care of all expenses incurred in the form of repair and replacement costs by the policyholder at the time of the accident, but the point to remember is that this kind of auto insurance coverage would take into account the market value of the car while paying for damages sustained.
    • Comprehensive Auto Coverage - This insurance is meant to cover the damages that occur or might have occurred because of events other than accidents. These events could be a flood, fire, theft, vandalism, collision with an animal, floods or natural disaster, although one has to keep in mind that this coverage is optional, and is more suitable if the auto is leased.
    • Personal Injury - This is essential for all car drivers, because when a person is involved in a car accident, he or she goes through many unpleasant experiences that can be mitigated or even nullified if the driver has proper safety and protection. This is the most basic insurance coverage required in all states and includes basic expenses like hospital bills and even part of income loss due to accidents.
    • Liability Auto Insurance Coverage - This is meant for providing protection to the victim of an accident, if it is the policyholder who is at fault. In such a situation, in order to avoid incurring heavy expenditure, the driver is recommended to opt for a liability coverage that is more than the minimum specified amount or even choose to buy extra coverage as a means of lowering the premium.
    • Uninsured Motorist Coverage - This covers under- or uninsured motorist bodily injury protection in case the under- or uninsured driver injures someone in an accident. This type of coverage could be purchased as a form of protection against uninsured car drivers and is available in the form of uninsured motorist property damage as well, in which case it is meant to compensate for repair and replacement expenses.

    Home Insurance

Homeowner’s insurance provides financial protection against disasters. A standard policy insures the home itself and the things you keep in it. Homeowner’s insurance is a package policy. This means that it covers both damage to your property and your liability or legal responsibility for any injuries and property damage you or members of your family cause to other people. This includes damage caused by household pets. Damage caused by most disasters is covered but there are exceptions. The most significant are damages caused by floods, earthquakes and poor maintenance. You must buy two separate policies for flood and earthquake coverage. Maintenance-related problems are the homeowner's responsibility.

Why would you need homeowner’s’ insurance?
    • If your home was destroyed by fire or damaged by a natural disaster, you'd need money to repair or replace it.
    • If a guest in your home is injured, liability protection and medical coverage help pay expenses.
    • If you are a victim of theft and vandalism, it can reimburse you for your loss or pay for repairs.
If you are still paying for your home, your lender will require insurance. It is important to know that a homeowner’s’ insurance policy is meant to cover unexpected damage, not routine maintenance. Ask our agents about what is covered, and be sure to read your policy so you know exactly what's included and what is not.
    Things to consider:
    • How much will it cost to rebuild my house and replace my belongings if they are damaged or destroyed? (Ask our agent to talk you through your home's features and the things you own so you can make an informed decision about coverage.)
    • What discounts are available? (Ask about multiple policies, security system and fire resistance discounts.)
    • What's the process for filing and settling a claim? (Ask who to call and what happens after you file a claim.)

    Condominium Insurance

Need an insurance quote for your condo or townhouse? You've come to the right place.

If you own a townhome or condo, you have different insurance needs than the typical homeowner. Not only do you own your individual condo, you also share ownership in the common areas and overall structure of your building. If shared areas need upkeep and maintenance, your association will typically handle the expense through their insurance package. Although your association dues help pay for upkeep of the common areas, they do not typically cover your personal property within your own unit or your liability if someone is injured on your property.

Condominium insurance provides protection where condo associations do not. Condo and townhome coverage protects your possessions within your unit, including furniture, appliances, kitchen and bath facilities and your personal items. If you plan on upgrading your unit, any improvements you make will also be covered under your policy, including wall units, renovations and wallpaper.

If you would like to feel more secure, you should look into purchasing a condo or townhome insurance plan from Jones Group Insurance Services. Contact us to get a condo or townhouse insurance quote right now!

    Renters Insurance

People who rent their homes understand the importance of having coverage against things like vandalism, fire, theft, floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters, and even then they sometimes choose not to insure their property against the occurrence of an incident with liability insurance for the rental property. However, the moment a property owner decides to lease the property, different liability and safety considerations arise. There are now commercial considerations, and to address this, the major carriers offer special rental insurance policies for landlords that are sometimes referred to as rental homes insurance.

    Georgia Renters Insurance Coverage
A Georgia renters insurance policy can help protect your personal property from fire damage, theft and vandalism while also providing liability protection for your visitors and guests. Given electronics, jewelry, clothing and more, research has shown the average renter owns $30,000 in personal property. (Actual values may vary throughout the US, and $30,000 is a rounded estimate of personal property value for a standard two-bedroom apartment.)

Your Georgia renters’ insurance policy typically includes:
    • Personal Property Protection - Covering the loss or damage of a renter's personal belongings usually on and, in most cases, off of your premises
    • Liability Protection - Providing legal representation and protection against judgments for covered events
    • Guest Medical Protection - Generally covers medical costs for visitors injured at a renter's home
    • Reimbursed Living Expenses - Reimbursement for costs of temporary housing, should it be necessary
Jones Group Insurance Services offers a variety of ways to save with Georgia renters insurance, discounts for:
    • Monitored fire and burglar alarms
    • Local ultrasonic burglar alarms
    • Deadbolt locks on all exterior entryways
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Sprinkler systems
    • A Georgia renters’ insurance policy combined with a Georgia auto insurance or other policies
Purchasing Georgia renters’ insurance ensures that your property is protected. Don't make the mistake of thinking you are invincible; you do need insurance for your belongings, even if you live in a rental property. You are the only one who is responsible for protecting your assets.

    Flood Insurance

Flood insurance provides protection for destruction and financial devastation caused by floods. Although it may not seem like much, even a few inches of water can cause damage and result in thousands of dollars in repair and restoration costs. Homeowner’s insurance does not typically cover floods. Purchasing flood insurance through Jones Group Insurance Services can protect you.
Although it may not seem as necessary as homeowner’s’ insurance, flood insurance is important if you plan on keeping your home safe and your possessions secure. Flood coverage offers protection against losses that result from heavy and lengthy rain falls, storm surges, blocked storm drainage systems, snow melts, etc.
Different types of policies are available based on your property's location and flood history:
    Standard Flood Insurance Policies
If you live in a community that participates in the NFIP, your building and its contents can be covered by a Standard Flood Insurance policy. The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) was established by the Federal Government to help communities who "voluntarily participate in the NIFP by adopting and enforcing floodplain management ordinances to reduce future flood damage." To be considered a flood, the waters must cover at least two acres or affect at least two properties. You must apply for building coverage and contents coverage separately if you choose to invest in a Standard Flood Insurance policy.
    Preferred Risk Policies
If your home or business is in a low or moderate risk zone, your building may qualify for a low-cost Preferred Risk Policy. While you are not required to purchase flood insurance in low-to-moderate risk areas, a Preferred Risk Policy will protect your home and its contents if you are affected by a small flood or a larger flood that has extended into your low-risk area. In truth, many flood insurance claims occur in low-to-moderate risk areas.

    Umbrella Insurance

A personal liability umbrella insurance policy can give one added liability protection without a large added cost. Additional liability insurance is often inexpensive, especially compared to the added coverage one gains. Most liability coverage that rests within your current insurance policies only covers bodily injury and property damage to others. Umbrella policies will extend those limits to not only provide additional coverage for bodily injury and property damage but also to cover things that are not listed under regular liability allowances.
Every policy is different, so what is considered a covered liability issue under one insurance line may not be covered on another insurance line. Umbrella insurance kicks in when these situations present themselves and/or you exceed the amount of liability coverage for the events that are already allowed under your regular insurance policies. Liability insurance is the portion of a homeowner’s’ insurance or auto insurance policy that pays expenses to an injured person's medical bills, rehabilitative therapy and lost wages due to the negligence of the at-fault person. The liability portion of an insurance policy also covers a legal defense representative if the negligence would happen to land the at-fault person in the courtroom. After adding up all of the medical expenses for the injured and the legal fees of the negligent person, the standard liability in one's homeowner’s or auto insurance policy is often not enough. Almost every state has financial responsibility laws that will hold drivers accountable for bodily injury and property damage resulting from car accidents, and the at-fault driver could be sued for the damage. Personal assets from the at-fault driver could be seized resulting from a lawsuit. Similar laws are also in force for home and watercraft owners.

    Life Insurance

Term life insurance, whole life insurance, universal life insurance, variable life insurance, survivorship insurance ... the list and combinations seem endless. Do you know which life insurance policy type is right for you? At Jones Group Insurance Services, we can help. Our dedicated team of life insurance professionals understands Georgia's market and regulations and can find the right plan – or a mixture of plans – for your specific needs.
    Term Life Insurance Basics:
    • Coverage for a "term" or period of your life
    • Lower premiums for a higher coverage
    • Rates can change after specific terms expire
    • No equity – cannot be used as cash value
    Permanent Life Insurance Basics:
    • Exactly like it says – permanent, not for a specific period
    • Protection carries with you your whole life
    • Can build equity and have cash value
    • Higher premiums than term life but can be more valuable in the long run
    Term and Life Together:
    • Build lifelong base of whole life coverage
    • Supplement specific times of your life with term insurance
When to choose term life insurance?
Most people choosing term life insurance have a strategy for long term net worth and need specific coverage for a period of their lives to protect debt, loved ones and children. For a homeowner with children, it might make sense to have a term life policy to cover the mortgage and living needs until their children are old enough to provide for themselves – in this case the term would expire around the time your children move out.
When to choose whole life insurance?
Whole life insurance can be used in the retirement years as cash assets. It can provide equity for loans and have fixed payments that do not increase with time. Many times whole life insurance policies will pay dividends - although not always.

With so many options, many people find themselves overwhelmed when they receive a life insurance quote. Let one of Jones Group Insurance Services' life insurance professionals put together the right life insurance policy for you.

    Medicare Supplement Insurance

The Importance of Medicare Supplement Insurance
Medicare and private insurance companies have teamed up to help reduce the out-of-pocket medical expenses that plague many seniors. This coverage is called Medicare Supplement Insurance. There are four parts to Medicare.
    • Part A = Hospital Insurance (Inpatient Hospital Care and Hospice)
    • Part B = Medical Insurance (Doctor Visits and Preventative Care)
    • Part C = Medicare Advantage (Private Insurance Company Coverage, approved by Medicare)
    • Part D = Prescription Drug Coverage
Medicare Supplement Insurance: What it is and how you use it
Medicare Supplement Insurance helps you pay medical expenses that are not covered by Medicare. There are several different supplement plans, and each serves a different purpose. Medicare Supplement Insurance helps you pay more of your medical bills, so that you will have little to no out-of-pocket costs to pay to doctors, hospitals or pharmacies.
Many private insurance companies are Medicare Supplement Insurance providers. To use these plans, you simply give your doctor, hospital or pharmacy your Medicare card and your Medicare Supplement Insurance card(s). They will first bill Medicaid to see what will be covered. Anything that is left will be sent to your Medicare Supplement Insurance Providers. These policies together will usually pay all or most of your medical expenses, so that you don't have to worry about hefty bills and other out-of-pocket expenses besides your premiums. Some Medicare Supplement Insurance Providers have even made this easier by allowing the doctor or hospital to bill them directly, paying the full amount and then sending Medicare a bill for their portion of the expenses, which Medicare then pays.
Why You Need Medicare Supplement Insurance
Medical expenses in the 21st century can skyrocket quickly. With many seniors living longer than they used to due to better medical care, this equates to those living on pensions and Social Security being strapped by medical bills that they cannot pay. An unfortunate number of people even find themselves choosing between food and their prescription drugs. Since seniors often have more medical expenses than the general public, having Medicare Supplement Insurance is almost as important as having Medicare itself.
What Medicare Supplement Insurance Costs You
What Medicare Supplement Insurance costs you will vary depending on your state, age, health and other factors. We can provide you with a quote for multiple companies simply by filling out our quote request. There are many plans available, and it is best for you to discuss the coverage with Jones Group Insurance Services, either in person or on the phone. We will be able to advise you on coverage, rates and enrollments that meet your budget and your needs. Although you will have to pay a premium, it will be helpful during the coming years as your medical expenses rise in order to keep you in good health. There are also plans to help cover your prescription drug expenses.
Medicare Supplement Insurance is an individual choice, but one that can save you money in the long run. If you have the means to keep up with the premiums, you will have the security and peace of mind knowing that when big bills arise, you will have more than just your Medicare plan to rely on. You will be able to control and plan your costs, which is becoming more and more important in the current national economic situation. If you are on a fixed income, it is imperative.

    Health Insurance

It is almost impossible to live without health insurance these days. With the rising costs of healthcare, some people are finding it difficult to find affordable coverage. Whether your employer does not offer health coverage or you are self-employed, you may find yourself in a position where you need to seek your own health insurance policy.
Health insurance policies most often provide coverage for:
    • Doctor's visits
    • Prescriptions
    • Medical Testing
    • Specialized care
    • Surgical procedures
Although every Georgia health insurance policy is different, typically you can work with your insurance agent to create a policy that best suits your lifestyle and needs. It is important to consider your financial situation AND the health of you and your family members when creating a health insurance policy. Jones Group Insurance Services' talented agents can offer you many types of healthcare coverage:
    • Indemnity Plans (or fee-for-services plans)
    • Cafeteria/Flexible Spending Plans
    • Indemnity Health Plans
    • Basic and Essential Health Plans
    • High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP)
    • Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
    • Managed Care Plans
    • Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs)
    • Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO)
Health insurance is an expense, to be sure, but the importance of health insurance really helps defray that expense. To find you the best coverage at the best rates, we will compare plans and costs to find you the best policy for you and your family's needs.
Remember, medical expenses are higher than ever, so if you have to be hospitalized for any reason, your costs are going to be a lot higher than you might have anticipated. They could be so high that you simply can't pay them, and bankruptcy is your only recourse. It doesn't make sense to go bankrupt and ruin your financial future just because you didn't buy affordable health insurance.

    Dwelling Fire Insurance

At Jones Group Insurance Services, our dedicated agents make choosing Dwelling Fire Insurance easy. We analyze your needs and explain your options in a clear, understandable way while saving you time and money in the process. We make it quick and easy to find the dwelling fire policy you need at the rate you deserve. DP1 is the standard form used for a dwelling fire policy.
Dwelling fire insurance coverage can protect your Georgia rental property from fire damage and yourself from legal and personal liability. With dwelling fire insurance through Jones Group Insurance Services, you can rent your property out with confidence.
    • Dwelling fire insurance policies cover houses and structures that are NOT occupied by the owner
    • A homeowner’s insurance policy will NOT cover damages to a home that the policyholder is not living in
    • Dwelling fire insurance policies cover all fixed structures, such as the home itself, the foundation, cabinets, walls, countertops, etc.
    • Most dwelling fire insurance policies DO NOT cover personal property because the policyholder is not an occupant of the home
    • Dwelling fire policies can be written for other structures on the property, such as sheds, unattached garages, barns, pagodas and greenhouses
    • If a fire leaves your rental home inhabitable, a dwelling fire insurance policy could cover up to a year's rent for the vacancy
    • Dwelling fire policies cover houses and structures for the specific hazard listed. That is the why it is known as "Named Peril" coverage on the standard dp1 form.
    • Can be used to cover cleanup after a loss, like after a natural disaster.
    • Usually pays the actual cash value for a loss, but can be upgraded to replacement cost coverage.

    Earthquake Insurance

To buy or not to buy earthquake insurance? After the earthquakes in Japan and Haiti, that question is on the front burner again. It's hard to ignore that gnawing feeling in your gut that not having this insurance policy could mean big problems in the event of a Big One.
Many homeowner’s, however, still hold off on purchasing insurance; in California, only 12 percent of owners with homeowner’s insurance policies also have earthquake coverage. Why? Denial, for one. And cost, for another. Depending on the coverage options you choose, earthquake insurance will cover the cost of your damaged home and any assets that are damaged on your property.
When you decide to purchase earthquake insurance, remember that you should buy enough to cover the costs of rebuilding your house and replacing broken possessions. The amount of insurance you buy should be based on replacement and reconstruction costs, not the market value of your property and possessions. A generally accepted rule of thumb is that you should not risk more than 10 percent of your liquid assets. A large earthquake could mean:
    • Your home's structure could be damaged or destroyed
    • Your belongings could be damaged or destroyed
    • $700-$3000 a month for temporary rent and relocation costs

    Wedding Insurance

Most people don't bat an eye at insuring a car or home, but what about insurance for your wedding? Your wedding day is arguably one of the most important days of your life; it only makes sense that you would ensure that nothing goes wrong that can be avoided. If four days before your wedding, you find out that the bridal boutique where you had your dress custom-made has closed shop and has taken your money and your dress along with them, who pays? Who is to blame when you, your new husband, and your wedding guests show up at your reception venue only to find that the caterers had the wrong date?
If you have a wedding insurance policy, the only person who needs to worry about these problems is your insurance agency. Though the idea of insuring your wedding does sound strange, it is becoming increasingly popular given the unsettled feelings brides have with the reliability of businesses given today's shaky economy.
Purchasing wedding insurance can protect you from the following:
    • Bankruptcy of a business
    • Natural disasters
    • Ruined photos
    • Damaged tuxedos and/or dresses
    • Lost wedding rings
    • Military deployment
    • Sudden illness
    • And more …
Don’t leave your big day to chance! At Jones Group Insurance Services, we understand the importance of these moments in your life.

    Pet Insurance

Pet insurance is gaining popularity. With its low cost and comprehensive coverage, many pet owners are opting to insure their companions. Pet owners with veterinarian insurance coverage are now able to provide levels of care that previously were cost prohibitive. Insurance coverage for pets means that pet lovers are able to afford the high-priced as well as unforeseen medical care treatments for their animals.
Jones Group Insurance Services can customize your Marietta, Georgia. pet insurance policy to cover: illness, accident and injuries, MRI, CAT scans, x-rays, surgeries, cancer treatments, prescription medications and after-hours emergency vet visits. We can provide all aspects of your pet's protection, plus you can add plenty of optional coverage and related insurance protection.
Pet insurance from Jones Group Insurance Services can help lessen the blow of the costs associated with keeping your animal healthy. A standard pet insurance policy typically includes caps, co-pays and deductibles. The cap on your coverage usually dictates how much will be paid out per year. For more information on veterinarian’s insurance, contact Jones Group Insurance Services at 678-823-8784.

    Final Expense Insurance

Final Expense policies have three important characteristics:
The life insurance coverage is permanent, life insurance premiums never change and the life insurance policy accumulates cash value.
Burial insurance or final expense life insurance policy assures you coverage for the rest of your life. A burial insurance and final expense policy also gives those you leave behind the freedom and flexibility to pay the remaining expenses and debts that may be outstanding. This makes a burial insurance and final expense policy different from a burial protection policy exclusively covering burial costs. Burial insurance and final expense policies allow you to choose the coverage amount appropriate for your circumstances. You can tailor the policy to your personal needs. Burial insurance and final expense policies are simplified issue, meaning there is a short application and no medical exam.
    These funeral expenses could include:
    • Cemetery plot
    • Casket
    • Headstone
    • Funeral Service
    • Visitation/Viewing
    • Minister
    • Hearse
Additional costs are often associated with the death of an individual:
    • Legal Fees
    • Debts
    • Doctor Bills
    • Debts like mortgage, car, credit cards and legal costs at death (probate, taxes, etc.)
